My Approach
I aim to create a place that will allow you to feel safe and free from judgement where you are free to explore your needs. I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist which means I integrate a range of different therapy models tailored to suit your needs. Some of these approaches include Person Centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems and Transactional Analysis.

What is psychotherapy and how does it work?
The aim of psychotherapy is to provide you with a confidential, safe and accepting environment to explore the issues or difficulties that are causing you distress or worry, assisting you to find the best ways for you to cope with them. The task of the psychotherapist is not to advise but to listen, to explore and support you to move forward in your life. This may mean making some changes in your life or finding constructive ways to navigate through a situation that is beyond your control. At times you may need to look at the past to understand what is happening for you in the present.
Who is psychotherapy for & what can it help with?
Counselling and psychotherapy is for anyone curious about themselves or for those feeling overwhelmed by what is going on in their life. This can be due to either a sudden traumatic event or a fundamental and inherent difficulty of longer duration, with less easily identifiable causes. Therapy can be a powerful life changing experience that can help improve your mental health, overcome challenges and help to fulfil your potential.
